Blumhouse's Truth Or Dare 2018 Online Review From Everywhere

Image
Movie Description: A harmless game of "Truth or Dare" among friends turns deadly when someone--or something--begins to punish those who tell a lie--or refuse the dare. Is This Version Of "Truth Or Dare" Worth Your Time!? Good Points: -  There are some sloppy rules and failed emotional beats, but if you're a genre fan watching Truth or Dare for the clever concept and inventive kill scenes, there's some fun to be had with this Blumhouse release. -  It's a fun watch. As for the plot itself, yeah it's going to be predictable as ever, but that's part of the cheesy charm. You'd be mad to take this movie seriously. -  Delivers a clever ending answering the looming question, how to get out of the curse? -  It's definitely not a horror movie for everyone, but to give you an idea of what to expect, Truth or Dare feels like a 2018 version of Wish Upon, which is completely my kind of jam (and I'm totally cool with being in ...

British Film Dark River 2018 Movie Review From Online Sources

Image
Movie Description: Following the death of her father, Alice (Golden Globe (R)-winner Ruth Wilson, "The Affair") returns to her home village for the first time in 15 years to claim from her estranged brother (Mark Stanley, "Game of Thrones") the family farm she believes is rightfully hers. From acclaimed filmmaker Clio Barnard, one of the premier new voices in British cinema, DARK RIVER is a taut and powerful psychological drama. Before diving into this film read some of the reviews online: Good Points: -  Even in the swelling canon of British rural miserabilism, this unrelentingly intense psychodrama burrows beneath the skin. -  "Dark River" is a forgettable title for a movie that's anything but. -  It's a beautifully crafted, moodily evocative film that's missing just one spark of true inspiration. -  Dark fare indeed, and you won't shake it off easily. -  Richly textured characters and evocative rural landscapes...

Christina Ricci's Distorted 2018 Movie Review From Online Sources

Image
Movie Description: Lauren (Christina Ricci) and Russel Curran (Brendan Fletcher) decide to move away from the bustle of the city and into the peaceful oasis of The Pinnacle, a coveted luxury condo boasting ultra-modern design, state-of-the-art features and security systems. Lauren begins to suspect the building has a dark side and seeks the help of Vernon (John Cusack), an investigative journalist with an interest in cyber conspiracy. Together, they come to believe that The Pinnacle may be brainwashing unsuspecting residents. Check Out Some Comments Before Spending Your time Before Watching It: Good Points: -  A slick and gripping psychological thriller that fizzles out by the end. Christina Ricci's raw, convincingly moving performance is one of the best of her career which somewhat compensates for the screenplay's lack of emotional depth. Bad Points: -  "Distorted" plays one too many tricks, and its casting is abysmal. -  All told, Distorted do...

Rampage 2018 Review From Online Sources

Image
Movie Description: Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it's soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend. Is the ROCK Dwayne Johnson Cool In This Movie!? Good Points: -  When Johnson is doing that movie action star thing he does so well and giant animals are going enormous-mano-a-enormous-mano, there's undeniably goofy fun to be had. You just...

Movie Description: In the year 2045, people can escape their harsh reality in the OASIS, an immersive virtual world where you can go anywhere, do anything, be anyone-the only limits are your own imagination. Is Ready Player One 2018 Worth Your Time!? Good Points: -  Spielberg wants us to drop the techno-gadgets and join hands, but it's the VR world that really juices him. He's the ultimate fanboy making a movie about the need to move beyond being a fan. -  A blast of pure childlike amusement. -  Tailor made for Spielberg with an adventurous heart and an accessible screenplay. -...

The Handmaid's Tale Season 2 2018 Review From Online Sources

Image
TV Series Description: The Emmy-winning drama series returns with a second season shaped by Offred's pregnancy and her ongoing fight to free her future child from the dystopian horrors of Gilead. "Gilead is within you" is a favorite saying of Aunt Lydia. In Season Two, Offred and all our characters will fight against -- or succumb to -- this dark truth. Here're some optinions about the handmaid's tale season two: Good Points: -  Showrunner Bruce Miller and his team - which includes Atwood as consulting producer - took a risk in expanding things, but they've succeeded brilliantly. -  The first two episodes made available for review were a confident return, a vengeful approach that offers no reprieve from the stark intensity of its cocoon. -  The most compelling scenes in the new season are the ones that explore how exactly Gilead took over America, and that draw on contemporary events and figures with eerie relevance. -  Prime examples of t...

Escape Plan 2 Hades 2018 Review From Online Sources

Image
Movie Description: Years after Ray Breslin [Academy Award (R) nominee Sylvester Stallone (Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture, Creed, 2016)] fought his way out of the escape-proof prison called "The Tomb," he's organized a new top-notch, for-hire security force. But when one of his team members goes missing inside a computerized techno-terror battle-maze known as HADES, Breslin together with Trent DeRosa (Dave Bautista, Guardians of the Galaxy) must now decipher a way to break into the world's best hidden prison, release their kidnapped team, and make it out alive. Here're some reviews online for you to decide if it's worth your time: Good Points: -  A short, inexpensive thrill ride that may have its problems, but still pairs well with a case of cold beer and a hot burger. -  Escape Plan 2 doesn't phone in the action. Bring on Escape Plan 3, which they already filmed so it's already a trilogy. Bad Points: -  A messy and unmotivated ...
